Description

The invention of the inflatable beach ball is believed to be the work of Jonathon DeLonge from California back in 1938. DeLonge's original beach ball was small – only about the size of an adult hand. But over the years, beach balls have grown and grown to over 3 feet across. Beach balls are buoyant which is why they float in water. The further down you push it underwater, the faster it will surface. The largest beach ball in the world was 59 feet in diameter and weighed in at about 880 pounds! This activity is all about moving and conversing with a beach ball!
