Description

Unlike baseball or basketball, the origins of ice hockey are not very clear. While some say a version of the game was played by the French and Irish as far back as the 1700s, others claim it was invented in the mid-1800s when Canadians with homemade sticks would skate on frozen ponds in Ontario. In this activity, participants will create their own version of hockey and complete some drills and even play a game if they want! After completing the activity, which can be repeated, check out the “Did You Know” facts about hockey!

This activity is a part of the sports theme box 1. Check it out!
