Description

Grasshoppers are plant-eating bugs known for their long hind legs that help them jump really far. They live in lots of different places and can be different colors to hide better in their environment. They make chirping sounds by rubbing their wings or legs together, which helps them talk to each other. As they grow up, they change in stages, sort of like a caterpillar turning into a butterfly, but not as big of a change. Enjoy making a grasshopper in this activity!
